We hope you were able to attend APB’s virtual DEI conference, Beyond the Buzzwords, which featured some of the most important voices and issues shaping the diversity, equity and inclusion conversation today. If you were not able to attend, you can still register here to access the event to view each session.
Today, we wanted to highlight this incredible panel discussion on how we need to achieve health equity and why it matters. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought inequity to the forefront of public health, highlighting how health equity is still not a reality and how COVID-19 has unequally affected many racial and ethnic minority groups.
Check out this panel of experts as they explore structural conditions that have led to health disparities before and during COVID-19, and discuss ways to advance health equity. Hear from 20th Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams, health and science commentator Dr. Esther Choo, neuroscientist Dr. Nii Addy and PBS's Dr. Talithia Williams as moderator.
I look forward to working with you soon, Brenda
